The South Texas Council, Boy Scouts of America will be holding its annual Friends of Scouting Pledge Breakfast at the Solomon Oritz Center February 19, 2013. The event begins at 7:00 a.m. Texas Agriculture Commissioner Todd Staples will be the keynote speaker.
The South Texas Council, BSA covers 17 counties across South Texas and serves over 6,000 youth. The program is made up of Cub Scouts (boys grades 1 – 5), Boy Scouts (boys grades 6 – 12), Venturing (boys and girls ages 14 – 20) & Exploring (boys and girls ages 14 – 20). The BSA strives to instill honor, duty, leadership and service in the youth of our community.
