The training program on effective instructional skills for ALL adult leaders will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at the Flournoy Council Service Center in Corpus Christi. Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. with the course concluding at 5:00 p.m.
This course is strongly recommended for all District Training Chairpersons and their training teams; all Scouters involved in council training courses; and all Scouters interested in being on a training team. This is mandatory for adults and/or youth who would like to be part of Woodbadge staff or NYLT (National Youth Leadership Training) staff.
Course content includes why and who we train, training methods, morale features, the training team, reflections, effective teaching, and use of audio visual aids. Participants are required to prepare and bring a 10 to 12 minute presentation on any aspect of Scouting. You must have all of your visual aids and other presentation materials completed prior to arriving for the course. Participants will be giving their presentations during the course.

The registration fee is $15 and includes lots of handout materials, coffee and snacks. Lunch will be provided. Reservations must be in by 5 p.m., Wednesday, August 21st so we can plan for necessary materials accordingly.
