Trainer’s EDGE is a single-day training program on effective instructional skills for all leaders. The next Trainer’s EDGE course will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at the Council Service Center. Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. and the course concludes at 5:00 p.m.
This course is strongly recommended for all district training chairpersons and their training teams; all Scouters involved in council training courses; and all Scouters interested in being on a training team. This also includes adults and/or youth who would like to be part of Wood Badge staff or NYLT (National Youth Leadership Training) staff.
Course content includes why and who we train, training methods, morale features, the training team, reflections, effective teaching, and use of audio visual aids.Participants are required to prepare and bring a 10 to 12 minute presentation on any aspect of Scouting. You must have all of your visual aids and other presentation materials completed prior to arriving for the course. Participants will be giving their presentations during the course.
