Scouts Recognized for Memorial Day Patriotism

Scouts in Corpus Christi were recently recognized for their patriotism during Seaside Memorial Park’s annual “Honoring our Military” Memorial Day event. The event, Seaside’s largest of the year, received helping hands more than 100 Scouts from across the Coastal Bend. Deceased veterans were honored by Scouts who placed American flags at their resting place.

Caller-Times Showcases Memorial Day Preparations

Corpus Christi Caller-Times Reporter Rachel Denny Clow featured Scouting’s integral role in Seaside Memorial Park’s annual Honoring our Military celebration.

Troop 144 Scout Ray Borjon plans to pay it forward in Kingsville after participating in the Memorial Day event.

“I wanted to show my respect to the veterans out here,” he said. “My friend and I are hoping to do the same thing in Kingsville.”
