Kick Off the Fall at Javalina Scout Night

Texas A&M University Kingsville will host its annual Kingsville Community Appreciation Night on November 1, 2014 in conjunction with a Javalina football game. The University has extended an invitation to the entire South Texas Scouting community to attend the game and camp out afterward on Saturday night.

Scout Night and Tail Gate at Javalina Stadium

Scouts and Scouters in field uniform will be admitted to the game at no charge. Non-uniformed parents, siblings, and friends are also welcome to purchase a ticket for $10. Plan to enter through the East Gate, located on Armstrong Street side next to the tailgating area.

The South Texas Council will also host a family tail gate party with games and snacks, so bring the family and join us for a great day of fun and football. The tail gate festivities will begin at 5:30 p.m. Kick-off is at 7:00 p.m.

Campout with the Javalinas

At the conclusion of the game, Scouts and their families will be allowed to leave the stadium and retrieve their camping gear and snacks. Movies will be shown on the video screen located on the north end of the field, so bring blankets and pillows to lay out in the end zone. Because the field has been equipped with artificial turf, we will be setting up tents and sleeping on the practice field, located adjacent to the game field. Whataburger Restaraunts will provide breakfast tacos on Sunday morning.

Registration Information

Advance tickets are not necessary for the football game. Youth members who plan to participate in the Campout with the Javalinas must download and submit the waiver form below by October 31, 2014. The form must be signed by a parent or guardian. The completed form can be mailed or turned in to:
